'The Diary and Recorded Discussions of The Junior Philosophical Society' by Tony Thorne MBE

This unusual work ranges from hilarious to controversial ... and possibly even disturbing to some sensitive readers. The subjects discussed are Parents, Faith, Creation, Miracles, The Future, Computers and Robots etc. Most parents however will find these subjects, and the youthful views on tham , fascinating, as well as useful in dealing with their own children. Things today are not as they were and will never be again. Knowledge is power, remember, and children nowadays have immediate access to it, far more than we ever did.

Read it and perhaps review your own views..?

The Ethiopian Culture of Ancient Egypt: Food, Markets, Temples and Social Culture

Diodorus Siculus wrote that the culture of ancient Egypt was Ethiopian, due to Ethiopians having founded ancient Egypt and preserving their culture there.

As such, this book provides, through the Ethiopian Amarigna and Tigrigna languages, a way of learning about the culture of ancient Egyptian food, markets, temples, religion and social culture.

Ancient texts are messages from the bygone eras. They stand as a testimony to heights of development achieved by our ancient civilizations. Historians for long have depended on ancient texts for understanding contemporary events of ancient periods. These ancient texts give us a first-hand account of the forgotten events, times and culture of the past.

The Rosetta Stone is a singularly important artifact and document that has changed the course of our understanding of Egyptian civilization. The Rosetta Stone enabled historians to bring a purportedly dead language back to life, paving the way for a better understanding of the available hieroglyphic literature. In fact, the language was never dead, thriving in over 30 million speakers.

Although known to ancient Greek historians, like Diodorus Siculus, but unbeknownst to the yesteryear colonial-era historians, the Ethiopian languages of Amarigna and Tigrigna still today hold the elements of the ancient hieroglyphic language intact. These path-breaking revelations are leading to a revision of hitherto translated documents and are giving deeper insights into the Egyptian civilization.

This book provides an understanding of the history and culture of Egyptian civilization by peering through the prism of dual hieroglyphic languages of Amarigna and Tigrigna and analyzing the hieroglyphs, more so, with the help of those of the Rosetta Stone. This approach affords us advantages of not only getting a deeper understanding of historical documents but also an understanding of vast information lying embedded in each of the hieroglyphs.

Meshing hieroglyphs in-between the history of Ancient Egypt, we take a look at their customs, trade and symbology. Another outcome of this exercise is understanding the global relationship between words. It is an accepted fact that more than 60% of the English words have their roots in Latin and Greek, and this book shows Amarigna and Tigrigna to be the root of Greek and Latin and therefore a wide range of European languages including English, Spanish, German and more.

It is demonstrated in this book that many words of the world’s languages have their roots in the dual hieroglyphic languages of Amarigna and Tigrigna. Though the extent of such relationships is beyond the scope of this book, it lays foundations for the students to explore this path on their own.

With the world shrinking closer day-by-day and multi-cultural societies a norm, this book paves way for appreciation of the cradle of all the civilizations and how other cultures have readily embraced the elements of ancient Egyptian and therefore Ethiopian culture and civilization. Ancient Egyptian and Ethiopian culture civilized European culture, not the other way around.

This book is also intended to showcase the Ethiopian culture from where the ancient Egyptian culture was born and give the Ethiopian culture its due credit.

Self-Esteem resource: 'The Farmer's Water Buckets' by A.M. Marcus

Teach your children to celebrate their differences.

Being different is not easy, especially for young children. Sharing a story wherein the main characters celebrate being different is a very powerful tool for any child. This book shows a great example of looking at the bright side of things and aims to inspire children to embrace who they are with all their unique differences.

This inspiring tale tells the story of The Farmer's Water Buckets in which one of the watering buckets unfortunately breaks. From then on, the broken bucket feels sad about not living to the expectations of others and not being able to help the farmer like he used to before he got broke.
  • Will the cracked bucket manage deal with his difference?
  • Will the cracked bucket still help the farmer after being broken?
  • Can both buckets still be friends?

This book will help you teach your children the value of tolerance, cooperation and acceptance while celebrating their differences. It may help boost a child's self-esteem and realize that being different isn't a negative trait.

It reinforces the view that being different is a positive thing and encourages children to accept the fact that everyone is different.

The lesson of the book best expressed in this inspirational quote by Robert Tew.

“Do not underestimate yourself by comparing yourself with others. It’s our differences that make us unique & Beautiful.” - Robert Tew

This well-written and inspiring story will help you to teach your children an important way of thinking with regard to tolerance, acceptance and celebrating diversity.

The Farmer's Water Buckets is an entertaining read before bedtime, with the whole family, or as self-reading for older children.
Additionally, it is a great resource for teachers and counselors to share with individual students or in a class.

With vibrant, delightful illustrations and easy-to-digest lessons, children will learn of a life that is much happier and richer–in health, family, and friendship!

"Tell me a fact and I'll learn. Tell me a truth and I'll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in my heart forever."
Native American proverb

A. M. Marcus graduated from the Technion Israel Institute Of Technology with B.Sc. Cum Laude in Computer Engineering.

Throughout his studies, he has been teaching and helping children with math and through his work, he has helped them to discover their inner strength and motivation to continue studying and nurturing success in life.

He loves the challenge of early education, and especially enjoys working with children with learning difficulties. He has found great satisfaction in helping them conquer their fears and overcome the challenges associated with their education.

A. M. Marcus has read hundreds of self improvement books, and been influenced heavily by them. Through self-reflection, he found that his great dream was to share that wisdom, especially with kids.

A. M. Marcus left his computer engineering career in order to pursue his dream of becoming an author of children's books. Today, he continues to write these books, with the goal of teaching kids basic skills through his stories. He believes that a good story is an excellent way to communicate ideas to children.

Each and every story is based upon some deep issue, value, or virtue that can potentially make a huge impact on the lives of both children and adults. He has a vast collection of quotes, and usually bases his stories off of quotes he personally finds inspiring.

For example, the first book he published in English on amazon was, "The Peaceful Lion And The Nagging Crow."

The story can be summed up thusly:

"Don't Take Anything Personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering."
--- Don Miguel Ruiz.

Dear parents, attend to A. M. Marcus' stories carefully, for there will always be a message for you
as well.

Today, A. M. Marcus' stories are delivered to his English readers with great
love. Hopefully you will enjoy and appreciate them.

A. M. Marcus is always happy to get your reviews, answer your questions, or simply speak with you. Please feel free to contact the author at: author@AMMarcus.com

A Seashell Meditation for Children by Patricia May

Write a book or ten! Hi, my name is Patricia May, author of the 10 book collection, A Seashell Meditation for Children. I love telling my story as this is a story of pure inspiration. I have never written before now, never even entertained the idea of writing no less publish a book, or ten!

My story began in Denver, after attending a davidji seminar at the I Can Do It! Conference in April of 2015. My family and I walked out from the seminar discussing just how amazing davidji was and how important it was to not only meditate ourselves, but to get our youth meditating as early as possible. My husband Dave came up with an idea to get seashells for our grand-kids and get them to listen and concentrate, holding the shells up to their ears while having a meditation read to them. Great idea? Yes it was!

June 12, 2015 while I was in my kitchen cleaning, I was hit with what seemed like a bolt of lightening! In a seconds time, or faster, an entire scenario played out before my eyes. I felt as though I was inside a whirlwind spinning around with all the information right there with me. I received this information as clearly as if I had read an entire book on it somewhere and saw it page by page. I “knew” I would write and publish with Hay House, a 10 book collection on introducing meditation to children in short story rhymes using seashells as a tool for focus and concentration. I picked up a pen and paper, instantly wrote down 10 titles that just flowed out onto the paper before me, and wrote the first book, The Seaside. Then I told my family and friends what I was about to jump into. So exciting, and with everyone being so supportive, no questions asked, I went on to day two.

I wrote the second book, Birds of a feather, then picked up the phone to call Hay House to let them know I would be publishing a 10 book collection with them soon. What did I know about publishing? I was told there was a company called Balboa, a division of Hay House that would be happy to help me. Tina Colbert was my first call connection, who inspired me and loved what she heard. I finished all ten books in nine days, and then went to the next step with the help of the Balboa team members. Taking me step by step through my journey, answering a million questions, always there to get me going in the right direction, my books were published exactly 4 months to the date, when the idea came to me in my kitchen that day. And it didn’t stop there. The marketing team then helped me to get the word out. I am so grateful to all the members at Balboa for helping me get to the next level. It wasn’t a decision I even had to think about, loving Hay House for decades, this fit right in exactly when and where It needed to.

For me, becoming an author through pure inspiration, and the help of Balboa to reach my goals, I say, follow your heart, do not think so hard, meditate, find your happy place and when it hits, well, just flow with it. When I finished writing my books, I sat down with my laptop and I emailed davidji, letting him know what an inspiration he was in this adventure of mine. Not expecting a thing in return, just showing my gratitude, I received an email from davidji the following morning telling me just how brilliant he thought this whole thing was! Guess what? davidji wrote a testimonial for me that is there on the back of each one of my books! He has invited me to be on his Hay House radio show. I would say, dreams do come true, but in my case, it didn’t start that way. My mind, body and soul was open to receive what ever it was that was meant for me to be, do and have at that time. Our local tv station came out and did a shoot at the spiritual center I attend, filming the youth group kids all doing the seashell meditation. Teachers, yoga classes and children’s educational programs have been picking up my books and implementing them into their programs. And the word just keeps spreading. Thank you Balboa, davidji, and all that inspired me in this journey.

Happy writing!
